Job Title: Lead Design Engineer – Boiler Process & Performance
Department Design and engineering
Responsible To G.M/ HOD R&M Engineering
Job Description: The candidate will be responsible for boiler thermal process and performance engineering.
Essential Function : Process engineering design for renovation and modernization of PF Boilers and oil / gas fired boilers.
Other Functions : Contract design checks in the event of an order.
Key Responsibilities : Analysis of customer’s process problems, analysis of problems and come up with a viable techno-commercial solution for R&M in conjunction with overall power plant process. This will lead to scope assessment, bill of material, preparation of technical offer, data sheet, sketches, guarantees at the Proposal Engineering stage and will require site visits. Once proposals are converted into contracts, process and performance figures will have to be finalized and basic engineering has to be concluded working in conjunction with the Mechanical Engineers and the Layout Engineers. The job entails all design checks which is required from the Boiler Process and Performance department.
The position calls for a good understanding of OEM design programs and their use and leading a group of Boiler Process and Performance engineers,
The job will call for working in a team environment of engineers of different disciplines and would require a mentoring role for junior engineers
Accountability : Reporting to GM/HOD R&M Engineering for work deliverables as per schedule.
Job Requirements:
BE / M. Tech with more than 15 years experience of which at least 5 years working independently in boiler process design.
